Update!!

Hey everyone! Before the girls asked me to do this blog, I had started a change drive for Isaac. I'm Isaac's prayer warrior through Reece's Rainbow, and after talking to his mommy a few times, I knew I couldn't just pray. I am someone who likes to pray while I work, use both my hands, and get emotionally invested in the people I meet, and a change drive is such a simple fundraiser!

At first, the change drive was REALLY slow! I was a little worried that my fundraiser was only going to bring in $20! But, as it turns out, it just took so more prayers and time to get people kick started!! Probably two days after Guardian Angels writing their first post and me finding the best partners in crime ever, things started picking up! Coincidence? I think not!!

I know so many people were praying, it was my prayer many times for God to use me, all of me (my hands, my feet, my voice, my heart) to help bring Isaac home. Now, it's not just Isaac! We will continue to help kids. What an answer to my prayer!!

So, people started donating. A LOT! I am getting ziplocks full of change all the time, things in my mailbox, envelopes with cash donations. A few days ago, I had met my goal. I told myself that I at least wanted to send them $50. Well, I am proud to say, we have almost TRIPLED that goal in just the last six days!

Our total right now is $142.28! This is so much more than I ever expected, and I am so excited! The wonderful thing is, is that it's not over. People have told me that they are praying, that they will donate. We are far from done! I just might have to cut it off at some point because I think we could go on forever!

Prayer works.

The other day I had a BBQ at my house with people from my church. A few people brought change, but only one came with such an amazing story:
Taylor is seven as of June. As his mom was putting coins in a ziplock he asked what she was doing. She explained that she was giving it to me so that I could help bring Isaac home. She explained how far away Isaac is, that he doesn't have a mommy and a daddy, but that they are coming for him and are going to adopt him and make him part of their family. She told him that would cost a lot of money so that they needed some help. He said "Ok!" and went and found his wallet. He dumped it out, collected all the change, and asked for a ziplock. That little boy donated to Isaac! It is so amazing to me that God is working through a seven year old to bring Isaac home. Thank you Taylor!

Thank you so much for all of your prayers and sweet comments we have been getting. It is such an encouragement and it shows us that we are doing this right and that it is appreciated! Please share our blog, facebook, and/or twitter so that we can enlarge our support and prayers! Fundraisers are in the works for Portland, and we can't wait!

Have a blessed week!
XOXO
