COLTON for the McIntee family — AZ

"Kyle and Kara met in 2004 and quickly fell in love. They were blessed with 4 beautiful daughters soon after that and live a blissfully busy life.

When Kara discovered Reece’s Rainbow, it was like a dream come true. She has always been called to orphans and especially the work of Mother Teresa, but didn’t know how to help. So, having a tangible way to advocate for these children was amazing. Kara spent months advocating for a sweet little redhead, Nico, and the family committed to bringing him home in September of last year.

Unfortunately, political tensions in his country and legislation unfriendly to international adoption closed that door, and after months in limbo, they felt called to continue their journey for another little boy who needs a home and family. They pray that they will able to bring Nico home someday, but until God makes that possible, they will work toward giving sweet Colton the stable home and loving family that every child deserves. God willing, someday Nico and Colton will be brothers.

The McIntees are thankful for this opportunity and hope you will pray for them and the boys as they continue their journey to Colton."

This family is amazing, when they were experiencing one of the hardest things that could happen during international adoption (country program closing) they decided to push on and bring another child home. They did not decide to bring Colton home to take the place of Nico but they did it so they could save another little boy from life in a crib, the McIntee family still loves Nico and (if they are able) they plan to go back and get him when/if his country reopens the doors for Americans to adopt. 

Since Nico's country program closed the McIntee's had to switch their adoption to another country which means they need to raise a lot more money to bring Colton home.  The McIntee family needs around $4,000 to be fully funded for Colton's adoption. For the months of May and June we will be holding online and local fundraisers to help this amazing family get closer to that $4,000 that they need to get their baby boy home.
