Adoption is often a curvy and bumpy road.

In the last week, Guardian Angels have gotten news about two different little girls that we have fundraised for that was far from what we and their families expected.

Last September we fundraised for Constance's family. She was in Vahnya (Amanda and Madison's little brother)'s "groupa" (a small group within the baby house/orphanage) before he was adopted. She was transferred in July of 2011. Her family visited her in December to find her well cared for and healthy (a huge praise. That was a large concern because of her transfer to an institution). This week her family announced that they are now unable to adopt Constance due to laws far beyond their control. We pray for them as they let go of their plans to bring her home, Constance's safety and health, and that a family opens their hearts to adopting her. While the family who intended on bringing her home is devastated, they pray that their videos and photos from their trip in December lead a family to this sweet little girl.

Constance has been re-listed on Reece's Rainbow and can use everyone's help to share her Reece's Rainbow profile. You never know who might look at her photo and know she is their daughter.

Today, yet another "bump" took place. We fundraised for the Quinn family and their adoption of Autumn (aka Donna) earlier this year. Her parents are preparing to leave on Saturday to fly to her country, however today they got word that Autumn's biological parents have taken her home. While we rejoice in the fact that this little girl has a family, our hearts break for the family who's plans have suddenly changed. They have looked at her picture for over a year with full intentions to bring her home.

Please pray with us that this precious girl is well cared for and fully accepted by her family. Pray that her life is full of happy memories and blessings. But please also pray heavily for the Quinns as they pray and follow God's lead as to what comes next. They are heartbroken, but in this difficult time they are taking note of the "sweet." They are in a position to change a child's life in literally the blink of an eye. Pray for them as their journey continues!
The Guardian Angels LOVE YOU Quinn Family!

Adoption was never said to be "easy," but it is worth it. Every time a child comes home and we see the life-saving transformation that takes place in just a short time, we are reminded of this. God's plans are bigger than we can ever imagine, and in both of these cases, despite the large hurdle caused by unexpected news, there are HUGE opportunities for rescue, hope, and forever families.
