The Kutless auction ended up bringing in $185!!
That is so much more than we ever thought was going to happen!! We are so thankful for everyone who bid, and then for a generous friend who offered to double the final bids from each item! AND THEN for the winner of one item to donate a little extra! This was a VERY blessed fundraiser!
On March 9th, Amanda, Madison, and Caitlin held a "Parent's Night Out Pajama Party." Parent's dropped off their kids (dressed in pj's) with us and we hung out and played, watched movies, did some crafts, and ate popcorn!
We had the most kids than any other Parent's Night Out that we've ever done! The grand total ended up being 12 kids 6 and younger! It was a little chaotic, but in the sweetest way you've ever seen! All the kids had so much fun, and we did too!
We had 3 kids with designer genes, just like Sophia does! It's a blessing to us to see Down Syndrome represented at events like these, because our mission is to make people aware of the limited amount of ways these children are different from "typical" children. All of the kids at the Parent's Night Out played with each other, with us, made crafts, ate snack, watched a movie....no matter their number of chromosomes! I know it warms my heart to know that because of Megan, Sophia will have a chance to make friends with both children with Down Syndrome, and without. It makes me smile to think that once she is home, her having Down Syndrome means nothing negative!
One of the little ones who came to play was Rowdy Gustafson! If you don't remember, we helped the Gustafsons November, December, and January. Rowdy is their biological son, and they are adopting Rush who is just one month older than him. Twins! Rowdy is just the sweetest little guy! He loves to snuggle and has the best smile! We so enjoyed having him and can't wait until Rush gets to join the fun someday!
The PNO brought in $192!!!!
So, (in case you don't want to do the math!) we have raised $377 so far for Megan Meier and sweet Sophia!

You can also purchase hair accessories/jewelry from the "SHOP" page on our blog or the photo album on facebook! The items just let us know what you want, pay through the chipin, and it'll be mailed to you!
